Inspired by the horticultural societies of North American peoples, many of which were matriarchal, I have sculpted a female to symbolize the hope and assurance of Spring.  Represented is the Seed Gatherer/Keeper.  Her quiet facial expression indicates the silent inception of growth, as seeds germinate beneath the soil.  The paintings/carvings are indicative of Spring sowing, Summer watering, and end-of-season Harvesting.
